This position is located in Greenfield, IN and is part of a global team.

Each intern class participates in a group philanthropic project allowing them to see firsthand how Covance is dedicated to its community. In addition, Covance encourages professional development and career exploration through program workshops, each designed to help students prepare for a thriving career in our industry. 

 

Intern project:  

  • Planned project includes generation of preclinical oncology biomarker data with new high-sensitivity Quanterix platform. Data will be used to enable the ED Metabolic team to computationally model drug dose and response. Project, enables cross-BU synergies with ED/In Vivo Pharmacology, Metabolism Modeling, and TBS
  • Intern to be located within TBS/Immunology and Flow Cytometry/Cell Biology teams.
  • Day to day activities:

    • Conduct literature search and review relevant references/bibliography
    • Participate in the design/plan of experiments
    • Capable of independently executing the assays (with supervision and after rigorous/proper training)
    • Perform data analysis and discussion/interpretation of results

Education/Qualifications

Succesful completion of at least 2 years of undergraduate work in college or university setting, directed toward completion of a Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology B.S. or equivalent degree.

Experience

Completion of 2-3 biology laboratory courses required. Successful completion of independent research in college or undergraduate setting highly preferred.
