Essential Job Duties:

  • Provides supervision and direction to the physicians of the Covance Clinical Research Unit (CCRU).
  • Provides medical coverage for CCRU.
  • Ensures proper medical coverage from the physicians to cover unit medical safety at all hours.
  • Involved with clients for medical consultation on study design and safety for early clinical phases of drug development.
  • Collaborates with medical staff and clients to ensure proper study designs and notification of adverse events to the sponsors.
  • As Principle Investigator/Sub-Investigator, responsible for assuring the health and welfare of participants.
  • Responsible for performing medical procedures, responsible for proper conduct of the study trial, and responsible for all trial related medical decisions.

Required Experience:

  • 5 - 10 years experience in conducting clinical research.
  • At least 10 years of progressive and proven leadership responsibilities in a related business environment.
  • Current M.D. or D.O. license and DEA license.
