Covance Entry-level Sample Coordinator

Covance is seeking an Entry level Sample Coordinator to support their BioA, Safety Assessment, and Metabolism laboratories in Madison, WI. In this role you will learn to perform sample accession responsibilities in compliance with appropriate SOPs and regulatory guidelines.

 

Duties include entering orders, logging samples into our database and checking for accuracy, so attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment are key.

 

You will also be expected to:

  • Learn to use sample tracking systems (Nautilus) as appropriate to maintain sample and study integrity.
  • Learn accurate protocol and SAO interpretation.
  • Learn review of sample inventory against samples received to determine accuracy.
  • Learn review of client paperwork against data entries to ensure accuracy.
  • Learn to document and communicate discrepancies to appropriate personnel.
  • Learn to plan, prioritize, and manage team and individual workloads and multiple responsibilities.
  • Contribute to a cohesive team environment.
  • Communicate effectively with internal customers.
  • Support process improvement initiatives.

 

This position is a full-time, 1st shift position.

Education/Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent

Basic working knowledge of computers

 

  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize and manage time
  • Customer service skills including communication skills, accuracy, efficiency, and confidentiality
