  • Job Overview

    To collect, document, and manage pertinent data including animal observations, test material administration, and clinical sample collection in compliance with appropriate SOPs, GLPs, and regulatory agency guidelines.
    To perform basic necropsy or histology tasks on a variety of laboratory animals in compliance with the appropriate SOPs, GLPs, and regulatory guidelines.
    Learn to perform and document techniques used in preparing materials for dose administration in compliance with appropriate SOPs, GLPs, and regulatory guidelines.
    To monitor animal health and welfare in compliance with the Animal Welfare Act and help maintain facilities for AAALAC compliance.




    Applicants for this role must attend the career fair/presentations events during Spring 2018 at the following universities: UW Madison, UW Platteville, UW LaCrosse, UW River Falls, Purdue, Michigan State;  and must be a current student with intentions to graduate within 12 months of the university event in order to be considered for this role. 

    Bachelor degree in Life Sciences, Associate degree in Laboratory Animal Technology, or Associate degree in Veterinary Technology, or Associate Degree in Histology with 0-2 years of related experience.

    AALAS certification at Laboratory Animal Technician level desirable.



    No experience is required if you meet the education requirements.
    0-2 years of related external experience based on education.
    A minimum of 6 months experience as a Study Tech Trainee while employed at Covance, or a minimum of two years of related experience may be substituted for education requirements
