If you are looking to grow your career with a large and stable company, consider joining Covance as a Data Analyst. In this position you will oversee the integrity and maintenance of client data, conduct full lifecycle analysis, and develop analysis and reporting capabilities as you:

 

  • Optimize statistical efficiency and quality of clinical data for large clinical trials
  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
  • Create and build data transfer queries and specifications of data reporting for various clients
  • Aid in the generation of requirements for validation, assist in software validation, and locate and correct coding issues
  • Define, run and review edit checks and resolve discrepant data
  • Collaborate with other groups and departments to identify and implement data corrections
  • Ensure the accuracy in manipulation and scrutiny of clinical trial data ensuring compliance to applicable regulatory guidelines

What we’re looking for

 

 

The qualifications of an ideal candidate include:

  • A Bachelor’s degree, preferably in science or a related field, with at least 5 years of experience working with clinical trial data
  • Demonstrated technical expertise in data models, database design development, data mining, and data segmentation
  • Strong working knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (SAS, Excel, SPSS, etc.)
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of data efficiently and accurately
  • Adept at queries, report writing, and presentation of findings with a strong drive for process optimization and data integrity
  • Proven ability to plan, prioritize, and manage in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of initiative
  • Working knowledge of and experience with reporting packages, databases (SQL), and programming (XML, Java, ET frameworks) is highly preferred

Education/Qualifications
