    Associate Scientist - Immunochemistry


    This is an exciting time to join our new and growing Immunochemistry BioAnalysis department as an Associate Scientist - Immunochemistry. There is a large investment into seeing this department grow and succeed at a global level.  Position is located in Indianapolis, IN.


    Make use of your leadership and troubleshooting abilities by joining our team of scientists dedicated to making strides in early stage drug development and biologics. GLP experience with EIA and cell based assay validation is essential; MSD Platform and Watson-LIMS is a plus. Industry Experience REQUIRED.


    In this role you will...


    • Lead and direct scientific work to support internal methods and experiments.
    • Develop and review protocols and sample analysis plans.
    • Review data with the method development team to ensure methods are ready for validation.
    • Approve validation methods and review sample analysis methods.· Independenty reviews and approves raw data.
    • Evaluate data and tables to ensure regulatory guidelines and expectations are met.
    • Review reports for scientific accuracy and completeness.
    • Provide technical support as needed.
    • Assist with efforts to troubleshoot and solve assay problems.
    • Recognize the functions of different teams within Covance and seeks guidance when appropriate.
    • Assist with client communications regarding scientific direction.
    • Work with the client to determine project requirements.
    • Assist with scientific directives for the study team.
    • Identify scientific issues or scope changes within the study.
    • Communicate and monitor scientific expectations with scientific staff and clients.
    • Promote quality within the study team.
    • Serve as a technical resource for less experienced team members.
    • Actively promote collaboration within and across groups.

    Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in science or related field

    Masters (MS) degree in science or related field preferred

    Experience may be substituted for education


    Minimum Required:

    1. 2-3 years of experience in the job discipline
    2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    3. Proven ability to prioritize and manage time
    4. Excellent attention to detail
    5. Able to utilize word processing, database, spreadsheet, and specialized software
    6. Experience and skill with Watson, Nautilus, and Analyst preferred
    7. Knowledge of regulatory agency guidelines
