    Covance has a job opening for a Project Analyst at our Madison, WI facility!

    The Project Analyst is responsible for the financial review and analysis of Clinical Pharmacology projects.

     

    Additional job responsibilities include:

    • Evaluate progress to date for all ongoing projects
    • Support revenue recognition process
    • Provide Project Manager with financial data for project reviews
    • Manage the weekly missing timesheet monitoring process
    • Provides ad hoc project performance-to-plan reporting
    • Project profitability reporting/analysis (by client, by study type, by site, etc…)
    • Participate in process improvements around performance monitoring, metrics, etc…
    • Provide updates to risk registers as appropriate
    • Understand root cause of each project’s billed or unbilled position
    • Understand revenue implications for the billed or unbilled position
    • Develop a thorough understanding of each projects’ contracts in collaboration with the Project Manager, including assumptions, payment schedules, penalty or bonus language, etc.
    • Ensure project financial expectations are met in collaboration with Project Manager during the closeout process
    • Responsible for financial training of operational team as required

    Education/Qualifications

    • Associate Degree in Business, Mathematics or Science related field

    Experience

    • 2 years previous experience in CRO / pharma / biotechnology industry
    • Understanding of clinical development and project management
    • Effective computer skills, particularly the ability to handle large data files
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project
    • 2 years previous experience in budget management of resource planning / pricing preferred
