  • Job Overview

    We currently have an opening for a Pharmacokinetics Scientist in our Metabolism group.  As a Scientist in this group, you will plan and lead large, multidiscipline studies to generate results, solve problems and interpret data of a scientific nature.

     

    Key responsibilites/qualifications are:

    • Design protocols, prepare reports and carry out kinetic analysis of toxicokinetic, PK/bioavailability/bioequivalence studies.
    • Prepare protocols for, and carry out, kinetic analysis and PK/PD analysis
    • Perform complex modeling work related to studies on ADME of drugs in animals.
    • Consult with clients to determine their needs and to suggest/guide plans to accomplish these needs.
    • Participate in appropriate client visits.
    • Working knowledge of WinNonlin and PK/PD software programs.
    • Experience in PBPK is desirable.
    • Prior PK/PD correlation experience in a pharma setting is preferred.
    • PhD in Pharmacokinetics, Pharmacodynamics, Biopharmaceutics, Pharmacology or related field Masters and 4 + years experience.
    • Experience may be substituted for education

    Education/Qualifications

    • PhD in Pharmacokinetics, Pharmacodynamics, Biopharmaceutics, Pharmacology or related field Masters and 4 + years experience.
    • Experience may be substituted for education

    Ability to conduct literature review.

    Skilled in data interpretation and report writing for studies.

    Familiar with the use of standard laboratory equipment and analytical instrumentation, including GC/MS, HPLC and LC/MS.

    Skilled in customer service communication.

     

    Experience

    • Working knowledge of WinNonlin, Gastroplus and PK/PD software programs and familiarity with SAS.
    • Knowledge of bioanalytical methods and statistics.
    • Skilled in writing reports/summarization and data interpretation for regulatory agencies.
    • Demonstrate ability for logical thinking, vision, and creativity necessary to function effectively with little structure or supervision.
    • Skilled in performing scientific presentations and preparing scientific publications.
    • Experience in NONMEM is desirable
