Through our work in Early Development Stage many lifesaving advances in medicine and safety have been drawn from the scientific discoveries made through animal research.

     

    We have exciting Study Technician positions in our In-Life department focuses on animal’s health and welfare, performing animal husbandry and task associated with research studies.

    Duties include but not limited to;

    • Perform daily care of small and large animals including watching for signs of stress or illness, assist with administration of medications, blood collections and care of animals
    • Collection, documentation, and management of pertinent data from animal observations.
    • Performs a data review of study materials with minimal quality control (QC) findings and understands the level of a quality assurance (QA) audit
    • Performs basic measurements e.g., body weight, food consumption, tumor size, body temp, behavioral, blood pressure, glucometer, urine, feces
    • Can perform various bleeding techniques, may perform anesthesia/sedation. Extensive training is provided; candidates need to be comfortable working with both small and large animals in a laboratory setting.
    • For associates without experience this position typically has an hourly pay rate of approximately $15.00 per hour. We offer fantastic training and ability to gain additional skills. As your skills grow so will your income!

    Education/Qualifications

    What we need from you:

    • Passion for providing excellent care, commitment to quality and dedication to always to the right thing
    • Bachelor degree in Life Sciences, Associate degree in Laboratory Animal Technology or Associate degree in Veterinary Technology. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education.
    • Must be able to work in a laboratory setting with laboratory animals
    • AALAS certification at the Assistant Laboratory Animal Technician level is preferred, but not required.
    • Animal Care Experience highly prefer but not required
