    Immunology Research Associate

    Position is located in Denver, PA. 

     

    The responsibility of this position include:

     

    ♦ IgG purification using Protein A or Protein G column chromatography, including data analysis, internal record keeping, client correspondence and product packaging. Conduct purification with supervision and progress to running purifications without supervision.

    ♦ Antigen specific IgG purification using affinity chromatography, including data analysis, internal record keeping, client correspondence and product packaging. Conduct purification with supervision and progress to running purifications without supervision.

    ♦ Run ELISA including performance of assay, quality control, data analysis, internal record keeping and client correspondence with supervision.

    ♦ Learn how to purify IgY from chicken eggs. Conduct purification with supervision and progress to running purifications without supervision.

    Follow all established Quality Assurance procedures including environmental checks and recordings, equipment maintenance and use logs and documentation of all procedures.

    ♦ Follow procedural SOP’s and Good Documentation Practices.

    ♦ Prepare buffers and solutions.

    ♦ Contribute to maintaining Lab and equipment cleanliness.

    ♦ Help maintain supply inventory

    ♦ Follow all established safety standards for the department.

    Education/Qualifications

    Prefer (Not required) - Bachelor of Science in biology, chemistry, biochemistry or closely related field.

    Experience

    Relevant high school/college level science courses with laboratory component with 0-1 year working experience.
