    Performs a variety of sample management responsibilities in compliance with appropriate SOP’s and regulatory guidelines, in support of departmental operations.


    1. Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Performs any combination of sample management tasks, including labeling, transferring, tracking, inventory, archival, shipping, and disposal of samples.
    • Reviews sample paperwork against samples to ensure accuracy.
    • Communicate discrepancies to appropriate personnel and assists with problem solving.
    • Communicates confirmation of sample receipt to clients, if appropriate.
    • Handles internal customer inquiries and requests.
    • Distributes sample information and paperwork.
    • Responsible for entry and accuracy of sample tracking systems.
    • Introduces and develops improvement ideas for the group with the assistance of others.
    • Certified as an authorized environmental system monitor as appropriate.
    • Maintains storage units
    • Performs other related duties as assigned.


    Preferred candidate will be enrolled in a MT or MLT program or pursuing a related 2 or 4 year degree.


    Preferred but not required: Exposure to or knowledge of Sample processing, Data entry, Hematology.
