    Exciting Opportunity to be part of the Covance 2019 Global Internship Program! We offer our interns real work assignments that compliment an education in STEM+ Healthcare disciplines, are challenging and recognized to the organization as valuable. Our interns have the opportunity to showcase their work, allowing them to demonstrate their achievements to Covance senior management, their supervisor and mentors. Each intern class participates in a group philanthropic project allowing them to see firsthand how Covance is dedicated to its community. In addition, Covance encourages professional development and career exploration through program workshops, each designed to help students prepare for a thriving career in our industry.

    Data Analytics

    • Develop data analytics and visualization solutions in line with business requirements using tools such as Spotfire or Tableau
    • Develop and participate in proof of concepts activities to demonstrate how the interpretation of data can expand the capabilities of the business
    • Data mining using state-of-the-art methods
    • Preparing customised data sets, when required, for collaboration with clients and or regulators
    • Produce business dashboards in line with business strategy
    • Processing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of data used for analysis
    • Research and develop statistical learning models for data analysis
    • Collaborate with EPDS management to understand requirements and devise possible solutions
    • Communicate results and ideas to key decision makers

    • Maintain positive and collaborative relationships with internal program team
    • Foster a high performance culture characterized by high accountability, high stretch, high support and low command
    • Collaboration and communication with other interns to accomplish small and large group tasks
    • Perform other related duties as assigned

    Education/Qualifications

    Working toward a degree in data analytics/management.

    Experience

    Previous work in data analytics is preferred.
